social, corporate, and charitable events. Our goal is to produce an amazing event

Michelle Lee Schroeder is the managing member of Blue Ridge
Events, LLC. She is an event planning professional with over 15 years
experience. She began her career in event planning in 1990 as a Bridal
Consultant for Lynne Rene Bridal Boutique in Roanoke,
Virginia. During her time there, she gained
valuable knowledge of all phases of wedding planning, as well as that of
fashion and trade show organization. Her knowledge of corporate event
planning was gained through her employment with Moore’s
Lumber & Building Supplies, Inc., headquartered in Roanoke,
Virginia. As the Executive Assistant to the
Vice President of Credit Sales, she successfully organized conferences,
seminars, corporate retreats, training sessions, company picnics, and
charitable fundraisers. In 2001, she began organizing and directing weddings
and events on her own. She has planned and directed weddings, receptions,
luncheons, dinners, cocktail parties, galas, open houses, festivals, antique
and craft shows, bazaars, trade shows, and silent auctions for numerous
individuals, non-profit groups, and civic organizations. She has extensive
experience with contract negotiations, invitation and program design, travel
arrangements, sponsorship sales, advertising, staff supervision, and volunteer
coordination.
